Heat during the winter is a necessity, not a luxury! Unfortunately, there are folks out there who struggle to keep up with fuel delivery bills and heating equipment maintenance costs, leaving them out in the cold. Luckily, there is a solution through the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

Through this program, the federal government, and state and local agencies, help low-income residents pay for heating oil and efficiency-related home improvements.

Here are some of the programs available:

The Fuel Assistance program helps Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware residents with their heating bills with home heating energy assistance grants. Click the links below to find your state’s program.

Home Weatherization programs are available, as well, to help homeowners reduce heating costs by improving the energy efficiency of their homes. The funding from these programs can be used for insulation upgrades, heating system repairs or replacements, and more.

All of these programs are based off of income, so be sure to check and see if your household qualifies for them by visiting the relevant state’s program. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us online, or to call 410-658-5502.
